@tigere01 Simply not true. In 2000 the so-called Government issued 'certificates of no interest' with regard to 85% 0f all farms in the country. This information was published in the Government gazette.The subsequent vicious land invasions were directed by Mugabe in order to destroy the opposition MDC.

@TheSienna29 I want to agree with you, but threats of violence in Zimbabwe were not directed to the general white population, but to those who owned land in excess while other Zimbabweans have not by disgruntled poor folks. In saying this I condemn terror campaign, but I also have seen how it erupted, anyone pushed to far breaks out or in. Even now there is still chance of resolve only if the minority whites want it so, I still have many white friends still in Zim with zero plans to leave.

The blacks of Zimbabwe couldnt be worse off now if the KKK had given them their current government! Of course there is the temptation to say 'serves them right' but I hate to see such suffering when benign rule based on the glorious civilized ways of The Anglo-Saxons would serve the native black people so much better.

I'm a British expat who lives in America. I'm ashamed of both countries' treatment of Rhodesia, and their willful rejection of their own ideals for the misconception that the Bush War was based on civil rights and their hard headed refusal to see the truth. It kills me to see such a great country driven to the point where they had to declare UDI and then get cut off from the rest of the world. And be condemned as racists by the very people who ought to be helping them.
