@gtsang89 Secondly, its you that is wrong if believe that I have any added priviledges/advantages as a caucasian male. All an immigrant has to do is pull the "race card" and the federal and local governement will bend over.My family is originally from Germany, but that puts me in with the English/French Canadians because I'm "white" even though I'm technically a minority. The bottom line is that EEG's are truely racist, but its funny how it seems you can only be racist if you're white.

@gtsang89 clearly you're fucking retarded. What makes you think I'm unemployed? I'm a 37 year old university grad with a masters and I have a job. I was trying to apply for a position in a related feild until I realized that it was available to EEG's only. You say it's not meant to establish barriers, but that's exactly what's done. Affirmative action and employment equity are the same thing, and they promote hiring based on ethnicity and representation, rather than the best person for the job.

clearly you are unemployed because you are unaware of the purpose of employment equity. it is not meant to establish barriers for whites but rectify the damages done to visible minorities groups in canadian history. the purpose of employment equity is to ameliorate the wrongs in the past and eliminate barriers that has disadvantaged minorities groups.

you're living in denial of the privileges/advantages you naturally inherent from the disadvantages of minority groups.

Ya... imagine that. An asian female promoting employment equity. Dr. Yap should shut her yap. Its completely wrong. This employment equity program is the most racist policy in our country's history. Its the very definition of racism. Being a 35 year old caucasian male, I can't even apply for these jobs because of the color of my skin. The should officially make a white male employment group. Only allow white males to apply and see how fair they think it is then. Fucking immigrant bureaucrats.

@upsdelivery - I am in the same boat as you, and yes, it is absolutely ridiculous. I was recently invited to test for a federal job (I had already written and scored at the top level of the test, so I just had to hand in my results), and when I showed up, I was one of only a couple of white guys. All the others were black, Indian, Asian, middle-eastern and women. 60 or 70 of them! Why? They hand-picked them based on race and gender. I was visible minority in that room.

Oh ya.... employment equity is really fair.... pause not. I hate this country. I'm trying to apply for a federal job, and every time I find a job I'd like to apply for, I see its open to members of EE groups only. Being a caucasian male, that means I'm fucked. How racist is that? I can't get a federal job because I white and that is just wrong. Can you imagine if they posted a job saying it was open to white people only? The shit would hit the ceiling and everyone would be in an uproar.
