Cant stand john piper...Never does he think people may be emailing prayers or talking to people about christ on facebook etc..Think of all the pastors who use smartphones to better the kingdom of god somehow...bible apps, youtube sermons and christian books all at your hand to read when you are waiting for an appointment or when time is boring. I think its great. Just another thing to bitch about in christianity.

technology is DANGEROUS! ive seen people and myself being distracted of the things that are really important in life as christians. we could spent hours playing videogames or being connected all the time to these crap, and dont even pray or read the Bible. is not worth it! you will regret and you will want to rewind time back. i can tell you because it happened to me. It's a shame thath a desiring God conference is held at a church of who's leading pastor Rick Warren leads people away from sound doctrine. A pastor who uses " The Message" in his bestseller. A bilble "translation" with the phrase As above So below

A well known occult phrase. It comes down to pantheism

But Jesus clearly said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. People do your research, it's the least you can do for you eternal destanation.

I agree! I have an iPhone and I see the power it can have over me. If I misplace it and don't know where it is, or even forget it in the car, I have to get back to the garage downstairs to get it as soon as I can. I think technology is not all bad, though. I listen to the Bible on my phone at work (my job allows me to do so), and I listened to audio books like "Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis" ,"Don't Waste your life," by John Piper and listen to Christian music. We need to find the balance.
