Galileo said: "All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them." We need to start working together to discover the truths of life that we all have in common. This is how we can unite and focus on our essential similarities instead of our dividing differences. Search for "Truth Contest" in Google and go to the website, then click on "The Present" to open it. What it says will turn this world right-side up if it reaches enough people.

Just... Beautiful.

The 162 people that disliked this video, are the same ones that would have preferred we had stayed in the caves.

This should be showed as an ad for NASA for fucks sake. Why doesn't anyone sponsor to show this?

Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Ep. 1: The Shore of the Cosmic Ocean.
Your move.
But this is still incredibly awesome.

I find myself difficult to blend in society today and even don't want to go back anymore. All the suffering, all the hatred, all the nations conflicts are stemmed from scarcity, self-interest and ignorance. We, human in our infancy, are time to change our tranditional way of thinking, or we perish. Check out a video of "Paradise or oblivion" from The Venus Project

Whew! That was intense. I could listen to Carl Sagan read the phone book all day.

Its funny. Christians called him Carl Pagan, and many thought he was the devil. Such is religion, such is ignorance.

While I was watching the eclipse I was reminded of this beautiful video and this extraordinary man, even after hundreds or years of civilization the mundane movement of the celestial bodies continue to amaze us and to make us wonder about our place in the universe. The true nature of our universe is by far more extraordinary and interesting that any reassuring fable us humans could come up with.
