Here it is, September 28, 2008: the final day of baseball ever at Shea Stadium (sadly the Mets lost, in effect ending their season.) We ride the Train of Many Colors into the Willets Point-Shea Stadium station about 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. This is just a little reminder of what it was like going to a Met game before 2002/2003 (when the "redbird" cars were retired.) Sadly, not all fans are in love with Citi Field, as you can hear at about the :43 mark.

  • I'm not a Met fan, but as much as I loved Shea, I think Citi Field is 10x better!
