I think this video is the best one I've seen on health care. It tells what's really going on and how the for profit health care system is ruining peoples' lives while health insurance companies, congresspeople and pharmaceutical companies are getting richer and richer

We must have a single payer health care system only. We can't afford anything else. US spend on health care 15.4% of GDP (that is a low figure) including both state and private. As a whole Europe spends 9.6% of GDP on universal health care. The Republicans and or the O'bama plan, is just more of the same fraud. Plenty of profit for the greedy pharmaceuticals and the health care companies. We should emulate the Veterans Administration. Our own national, 1 payer system that works.

While listening to the Ed Schultz radio talk show on AM 760 Progressive radio here in Boulder today, 8/24/09, a caller called and talked about this video. As soon as I got home I found it on You Tube. Needless to say I love it. I also live in Boulder and if you need any help doing more of this let me know. I have several years volunteer experience as a Producer with CATV 54 when it existed here in Boulder.

There is a villain out there, and we're not saying it: the health insurance industry is openly criminal.

There is only a very small group of people who could possibly be against health care reform. Those are the people that think because they have health care, they are protected. When they get sick and they lose their health care, or lose their job and they lose their health care or their premium goes up, they'll change their minds... Only heartless and stupid people could be against changing this broken health care system. I feel sorry for them.

You say a public option will have prolems and therefore should not be implemented. And you say Medicare has problems too (so I presume you think it should go away). But I don't hear anyone ON Medicare saying it should go away. Same with vets getting goverment insurance for GIs. All of them COULD go to a private option, but don't. Imagine them hearing you say their choices about what's best for them are no good in YOUR opinion and need to be taken away.

Medicare definately has problems. So does every single private policy. But everyone on Medicare has a choice between that and private options. Why do they stay with Medicare if its so bad? They are not forced too....they do it because its their BEST option. And they don't care if you go with a private insurer, or uninsured. They do what's best for them and you do what's best for you. But to say that a public option is not good for you...and therefore no one should have it, makes no sense.

people are dying every day because the for profit health care system is just that: ONLY into making profit and caring nothing about peoples' lives. It's a disgrace. We MUST have single payer health care. This video really shows how things actually are.

The plans being debated dont force anyone to switch coverage. If the government's plan will be so bad, no one will sign up. If people do, it means its better than what they currently have. Why deny them?
Try taking away single payer in this country. Medicare is single payer. As is GI coverage and the coverage our reps and senators get. NONE of them will let go of it. If the private sector could do better they would have stolen these customers from their single payer plans already.
Wall Street greed destroyed our economy and will also destroy our health care system. Put 2 and 2 together!!!!
Other countries don't allow their health care systems to be ravaged by the greed of the stock market. All of that stolen money would be put back into health care. We would SAVE money on health care. Put 2 and 2 together.
