A short video with the track "Airworks" from Dilla's Donuts album. Tributary visuals by Loachfillet, in memory of J. Dilla aka James Yancey. Donuts is a masterpiece in every aspect. A dense collage of cut up R n B tracks, mixed and mutated to the point of being their own compositions. Sampling "Lightworks" by Raymond Scott is just one example of his ongoing innovations to hip hop and soul music.
...and well beyond that.

This is the soundtrack to a hot summer's night, cruising down the streets of Oakland, California.
