  • @vaghoust no, because it is not running the native Linux binary (ELF) it is running windows Binary (PE) so some system changes take place to convert the (PE) to (ELF), which slows down and consumes resources, but with you tech specs, you probably won't notice it :-)

  • queation,If I have 8 gb of ram and a quad core cpu I run a light linux version for web browsing and games with dx11 with w7 vmware, will they run with the same fps like real w7?

  • @infinitypark003 appdb.winehq.org

  • @infinitypark003 wine is somethink like windows api,but not ignores app bugs. If some game has a bug which win. api ignores, wine will kill the process.

  • @testingte Ah okay. I haven't messed with Wine yet, as I haven't used Linux for a while. I'll stick to Gaming on Windows and If I need some Windows Software in Linux, there's always Wine.

  • @ExteriorPC Thanks!

  • @infinitypark003 Wine plays a vast majority of games (Every one that I've tested for sure) and if you have a problem getting one to work, you can look through the WINE forum and see if anyone else got it to work (they will tell you how they got it to work ;D)
