Interesting how the CQC-8 employs philips and flathead screws. Which raises the question...why do most blades use torx/hex screws when philips and and flathead screwdrivers are so much more common?

@ihaterobbie123 do you own guns and have children ? even if you dont have kids, do you keep you pistols and rifles just laying around, stored on the wall? what happens if you get robbed then they have all your guns and your out thousands of dollars. i would imagine he keeps his most expensive and collectible knives in the safe.

I have had quite a few Emersons over the years...and with one exception, all are gone now. I bought a CQC7 in 2001 and carried it faithfully...until the liner lock actually failed. I had a Raven I had to send back to Emerson six times to correct the liner lock (had to stick a screwdriver in it to dislodge it to close the knife)...the PSARK, the Commander, the Blackbird, the CQC8, the Super 7...all had to go back to Emerson at least once for service to the liner locking mechanism. Don't you think people have replied to my comment before? I actually found out he keeps it locked away because he has loads of knives and he can't keep them all out.
Now, are you quite done beating a dead horse?

@ihaterobbie123 Some of the knives he reviews are 6 and 700 hundred dollars and im sure its more of a thing to secure his investment than to be "better safe than sorry ".

@albi131 Yep, the bad comments are correct. I have one.
This comment has received too many negative votes show
You store knives in a safe? That's exactly the kind of behaviour that encourage regulation.
If I had to unlock a door to prepare food I'd feel caged in my own home. Storing sharps in anything but a sheath or a kitchen knife holder/drawer is insane in my opinion. All that's needed is for the edge to be behind some sort of barrier when not in use, not lock and key.
I don't want to hear "better safe than sorry", caution is OK, but hyper-cautious behaviour is irritating.

@ihaterobbie123 See his knife storage video for clarification. Nutn has literally hundreds of knives, and some are in the safe, some are in storage in rubbermade containers and some are hither and yon in the house. The closest blade he has access to is the one he carries..and he almost always has one on him. As far as your comment goes, Nutn would agree..you can't access it if its locked in a safe. -- Veri (forgot to sign the last one, I'm his sister)
