Thank you for taking the time to give everyone a bit of history - my grandparents lived on Chavez Ravine along with my mother and her 11 brothers and sisters - my mother is on the Chavez Ravine Story by quadextu -she passed away 5 years ago -and yes, I am a big Dodger fan 2 but I don't forget all those residents whose homes were "stolen" by the City of Los Angeles! That is something u don't 4get! TO TLAGT: They were not poor people, small minded people like u should take it as a history lesson

Hey Thank you for this Youtube Video that you upload.... When you have time Look up ~~~> The "Chorizeros" were the Yankees of East L.A. in the years after World War II. In the barrio, baseball wasn't just a game, it was an event...... P.S Fu~~> the Yankees!!!!!!

-
@MrMojoRisinII Brooklyn dodgers forever!!
-
its all good. atleast you guys got a stadium out of the deal and a world class baseball team. instead, us here in nyc got two housing projects. some of the worst in the city. a borough that never recovered and is only now showing signs of rebuilding. a shitty baseball team that was supposed to replace the two that left. a stale baseball culture dominated by moronic yankees fans. curse you o'malley and robert moses!!

Los Angeles sucks. The Dodgers ceased to exist on September 24 1957. They can have this Hollywood version
-
we should have left you the giants.....take em ...keep them...dodgers were meant to be in los angeles...blue skys all year round...true blue..

@beatlebrian because no one cares bout brooklyn.. i mean this is holywood who doesnt wanna come here.
Thanks for that documentary, is there a plaque at the stadium to remind people of the sacrifice that the community of Chavez Ravine gave to Dodger Stadium. Every big city has its dirty little secrets, the only difference is the brave chose to reconcile while weak hide in ignorance.

Thanks for watching. I'm not sure about the plaque but the response to this film has been very strong. There have been more and more cultural events in the last few years to reclaim the history of the Echo Park area.
