This ending is amazing! People were so fucked up to the guys that came back from Veitnam! I cant think how bad of hell those guy were in just to come back home and be called baby killers and be spit on and protested! Fucking hippys!

I always thought this ending was a bit weird. I mean I know it's a mindless 80's action film, but how in the hell did Rambo get all the way from Vietnam to some buddhist monastery in Thailand without any weapons or personal items that could help, like money or a passport?

I serve in law enforcement and I spent 3.5yrs in USMC ROTC. My whole family is in the military and I am sick of how vets get treated. a lot of them are homeless, have nightmares (which I get them too), and many of them are slightly jumpy at certain noises and images which again I am too. And his line "I want what they want and every other guy wants that came over here and gave everything he had wants. for our country to love us, as much as we love it." is the truth the heart truth.

Almost never blame the soldier, regardless of the war.

I never agreed with Iraq, however I respect every soldier who served their time there.

Is it so wrong for a soldier who fought for us to want this? As corny as his line is I do believe he speaks for most vets on this matter.
