@dragonlasersfanman High quality lasers has a built in infrared filter. Laser devices that are able to pop balloons and light matches is as a result of an unfiltered high-power infrared component in the beam. Very dangerous for your eyes without proper safety glasses.

@pokerus100 Try dealextreme. Their lasers are not very good but the best you'll get for your budget.

Ive got a brand new 300mw green laser and it doesnt burn through a cd case :'( it only just pops a black balloon!! is something wrong with it?!...obvioulsy its way way WAY brighter than my 5mw and you can clearly see the beam in a light room or daylight but it really doesnt seem as powerful as yours?....wanna swap ;-) ha

@TTTAY89 Sounds like your laser is a dud. Probably one of those cheap mass produced models that has as much IR light as green light. Where did you buy it from?
