  • The Stop-Go animation was a collaboration between two students. For the STOP, one of the students formed the letters to be as long as the whole clay form.

  • how did you get the word stop to keep its shape so well?

  • Yes, when Oskar Fischinger's wax figures melted on his windowsill, he discovered the wax formed interesting patterns. David Daniels (Bent Image Labs) refined the technique now known as stratacut with his ground-breaking "Buzz Box" animation.

  • Oskar Fischinger was doing this stuff in the 1920's
