On the June 29, 2007, edition of CNN's "Nancy Grace," Irvin Muchnick, author of Wrestling Babylon, and retired wrestling great Bret Hart were on a panel discussing the murder-suicide of wrestler Chris Benoit. Muchnick challenged Hart to be more forthcoming about the likely role in the Benoit tragedy of the industry's culture of steroid abuse. More information: http://muchnick.net

  • i wanna see this leech muchnick argue with paul heyman or jim cornette...they will rip him a new asshole

  • As much as I disagree with WWE's non-response to steroids, this was not the case. This was brain damage. It could have been prevented or mitigated, but let's call it what it is.

Irv Munchnick is a leech who has made a career on offering criticism and conjecture simply devoid of any ideas on how to fix things. I simply throws rocks at others and then bitches when they don't repair the damage as quick as he'd like.

  • @sayanroy36 HAHA awesome

  • As soon as he brought up Owen and Davey Boy I wanted to punch him in the face. Cheap heat Irv you fucking prick.

  • I think its short sited to say steroids were the ONLY factor. Perhaps 20 years of chair shots to the head were also a factor. also Davey boy Smith didnt die exclusively because of steroids he was a drug addict and had a heart attack

  • @blumpkin757 they would go bankrupt within 2 years if they did that!

  • @BronzeBullBalls Yeah. I thought consensus was brain damage from repeated blows to the head (look at all those german suplexes) that caused his mental issues

  • Steroids DO NOT completely alter the psychology of a person. To say that Chris Benoit was a well adjusted man until he started using steroids is ridiculous.

  • Bret was right

  • @blumpkin757 Nah they just need a better schedule.

  • @GAStayPosi Yes they are man. It causes a chemical imbalance and makes you go crazy at times. Think of a more pure P.C.P. Typical steroids that are perscribed from doctors for conditions such as lung disorders and that stuff are not the type of steroids they are talking about.

  • @zzPinkTacozz37 I think he was talking about just about the business over all. Irv likes to poke at things and make the business I dont want to say look bad, but he dont help matters when stuff like this happens.
