  • "Elephants in circuses are reduced to objects of entertainment for people. An elephant's place is in the wild with its relatives and companions. The totally unnatural existence for circus elephants is a travesty and to allow this practice to continue is unjustified and unethical. The elephants are not happy, nor do they enjoy what they are doing. The maintenance and training of circus elephants involves emotional and physical abuse. "

  • @uvillecop Anyone can tell it's not happy b/c of the way it's head is moving from side to side. Elephants do that swaying when they are stressed and NOT happy!! Plus, do you think you'd be happy chained up and forced to do stupid tricks for most of the day? Elephants were meant to roam in the wild for miles and miles with a family unit for most of their day.

  • the is a very unhappy baby elephant -Obert. he's unhappy because he was taken from his mother and has been touring since age 2. AFTER hew was BROKEN to perform.you'd start rocking too.

  • You can tell becuase the elephants heads are moving from side to side. This shows how traumatised, bored, abandonded and stressed they are. Plus elephants walk up to 30 miles a day in the wild! I hardly think they are enjoying their time in the circus!

  • How do you know it is not a happy elephant? How much time did you spend with it? Wait you probably think you can talk to animals.
