Basically they are saying you get one shot at life in this world ("People of the rock come and rock one time") and they are spreading the Gospel message of salvation through Christ ("Anyone who thirsts there's plenty of new wine"). At least that's how I interpret the lyrics.

I would rather listen to this than a lot of the crap that is on the radio. So maybe it isn't musical genius, but it really isn't that bad.
