Look, Lars' blast beats and aggressive style revolutionized the thrash metal genre. His loud, yet complex, beats revolutionized Metallica (the, currently, most popular metal band around).
Not a bad achievement in my opinion.

well yeah..... but the thing is, Lars can also write songs.

i think lars is very underrated everyone says hes not good at all and i don't see what they mean to me hes one of the best. his rhythm is much more intricate than alot of other drummers. im very influenced by him i try to play sort of like him
-
Back from the time when Lars actually had control over what he played.

Lars is really great drummer! I love his style!!!

oh hell metallica rips off everything from black sabbath to dave mustaine himself (i consider dave a part of metallica to this day, it's who they were). Now metallica writes some of my favorite music but lars' recordings generally suck.

Actually I wasn't excepting this from Lars

Muy currado el video y muy buena informacion.Buen trabajo

i have this one guitar book where one idiot states that Lars Ulrich was a member of mercyful fate before joining metallica. So many things wrong with that claim.

lars cago la cancion

@VOSTFR no, ulrich did the very fast double bass a year before lombardo (ride the lighning - '84 (specifically fight fire with fire, and trapped under ice), hell awaits - '85). and besides, metallica is what inspired slayer to become more extreme anyway back in '82-'83, they admitted that.

I prefer the demo of this song from the Return of the Vampire album. There is nothing special about Lars Ulrich in my opinion.
Anyway, as far as I could tell from a KD interview - they didn't have a drummer problem. Lars was just hanging, and they decided to jam this song. Resulting in this.
Great job and information. You forgot to write that Metallica have done a Tribute song called Mercyful Fate. Done in honour of this Band.

It's a medley of some songs on the MELISSA album and one song from the extremly rare NUNS HAVE NO FUN EP (I once saw this EP on Ebay for 500$ !)
It's a great cover.
