The perfect is the enemy of the good.

Damn.... Why can't it leave the formatting alone?! I had an awesome face with a raised eyebrow! XD

;) (I hope the formatting doesn't screw that up.)
Just read Laci Green's blog post on this healthcare bill... this Stupak Amendment is ridiculous. I hope there's still a good chance that women's reproductive freedom and health will not go ignored and stepped on for much longer.

We need to meet up sometime when my school is done.

Just a note... I'm watching the endgame of the healthcare debate now, and the Republicans are throwing a rhetorical fit, threatening disaster of Biblical proportions if the bill passes.
Yawn.

funny, one of my habits is the long thoughtless pause.
Crossing my fingers on the health care vote.
I already know how the Republicans run things. They are not a realistic alternative. I'm frustrated with the Democrats because they've been unable to govern. Yes, the Repubs have obstructed, but that's no excuse. Dems have huge majorities. They have to get things done. Their ineffectiveness has made people cynical. Passing an imperfect bill is far superior to passing no bill at all.

@bryantulsa I don't think it's as clar-cut as that. I'm certain there will be voter anger, but the April Fool's release of the GOP "budget proposal" is going to come back to haunt them, among other things.
The choice the voters will have is between the party that has promised to un-do healthcare reform (and who breaks stuff), and the party who at least TRIES to9 do stuff. An unpleasant choice, but not a difficult one.

Raised eyebrow; I do that also. :D
I hate to say it, but the GOP is probably a shoe in for next time. Obama didn't
just disappoint Americans, he gave them hope and then crushed it in a way that
hasn't happened in a very long time.
There is no way the American people are going to react to that in a logical fashion.

@TheTruePooka I don't think either party is a shoo-in. It's going to be one of the bitterest fights in the past 50 years.
The only sure casualty is our civil liberties. ._.
