Actually, the video was edited for length, and the part that was cut has Leo confirming three times that the reduction did in fact apply to his current balance as well as future purchases.

The only hitch with this example is that he got his interest rate on purchases reduced, but not his rate on existing balances. I'd be interested to see how he does trying to get the interest rate on an existing balance reduced. Would that work as well?
