  • What if my cubic polynomial has no rational roots such as x^3-3x^2-9x-7? Can I still factor out an irrational number?

  • terrible >:(

  • WTF!!! IM NOT GETTING A ZERO

  • @forrees18acc That's not -24, that's -2 followed by 4

  • -24 divided by 6 is -4 not +4. so the remainder would be 8. 2:18

  • @sharibabi14 yeah i've been struggling with this all week. I just now figured it out though. When you find the rational zeroes you take the factors of the constant (number with no variable) and the factors of the leading coefficiant (first number in standard form) then you use the graph to find out which ones seem most likely. then you test those numbers with synthetic and find the other zeros. the other zeros should be in your list of rational zeros. hope that helps : )

  • @sirlacas Yeah like she's not telling why she uses the numbers she does...when she did the synthetic division
