Of course the locals can't afford to buy houses in this area because they won't go out and work they'd rather stay on benefits and get pissed every night in the middle. This theory is bourne out by the influx of Polish in the area who are willing to work. Presumably at some stage the houses which were bought as second homes were bought from locals who have no doubt drank the proceeds!
