An Olympic luger has been killed after a brutal crash during a training run Friday in Whistler.
Amid safety concerns over the speed lugers have been reaching at the Whislter sliding centre, Nodar Kumaritashvili, of Georgia, was approaching a final 270-degree turn — at speeds estimated at 140 kilometres an hour — when he lost control.

don't blame canada for this.

Apparently the designer discovered that this track was 12mph faster than was anticipated, and made it even more treacherous for the less experienced Nodar.
I have to agree with the comment made before... I dont think this is much of a tribute to Nodar and his life, when the whole video concentrates on his tragic death.

i think was stupid build those pillars just on the track side.... i think was wrong built track, is a dangerous sport and should have some planning for more safety, that pillar shouldnt exist there

no offense but i don't like a tribure video including pictures of him receiving cpr or of him pale white with blood all over him. if you included some pictures of him before the olympics that would be better. but thank you for your time in making this tribute
