Here's video #3 in my first behind-the-scenes video series of my Etsy.com store, "Remixed Vintage." ( http://judythejazzcat.etsy.com)

After cutting the shapes out, then getting a rough idea for placement - let the glueing begin! I use Mod Podge decoupage glue with a foam brush & a light touch. Goes on white, dries clear... then I tape up any exposed metal or brass details so I can spray a clear matte sealant over the whole thing (so the exterior isn't sticky / tacky from the glue.

  • Awesome! I'm about to try to decorate a vintage suitcase for my friend to store her wedding keepsakes. I'm not crafty at all so I appreciate this video very much! Can I ask what you sprayed the case with after you used Mod Podge?

  • very nice.

  • I just love this! I bought a train case from the Goodwill about a month or so ago and I'm going to re-do the inside and outside of it. I was going to use gel medium for adhereing images and was wondering about the sealing part of it. Yours looks awesome!! Thanks for such a cool vid

  • that is sooo beautiful. great job
