Small feature on "The Magic Roundabout" in Channel 4's 2001 countdown of The 100 Greatest Kid's TV Shows. It placed at number 11 in the poll. Here, Phyllida Law, the widow of the show's writer, Eric Thompson, talks about how he first came to write the scripts, and who his characters - Dougal, Ermintrude, Brian, Dylan etc - were based upon. She also rubbishes those pitifully unsourced drug rumours: "Don't think Thompson even popped an aspirin!" All copyright to Channel 4/Tyne Tees TV Limited for the footage, for entertainment purposes only.
