@POOLOFGLITTERROULA Although i prefer Haifa's version of this song,the original still belongs to Despina Vandi a Greek singer who first performed it in the mid nineties. No one copies songs they are bought from the original performers....those who illegally copy music are prosecuted by law! You are right..Greeks have always been fascinated by the Arab world and in particular Egypt going back thousands of years..as you say, music knows no borders.

And that song was originally sang by Despoina in 1997. Haifa sang it in 2005.
