The kulaks were stocking their grain? That`s what the Bolsheviks thought. But in fact the Soviet statistics in 1928 were so distorted that the policies based on these statistics turned out to have horrible results. They took not only surpluses, but food. The result was a major famine.

failed only because the stupid right-wing regimes of my country and Poland rejected! Give me a break with the crap "without Stalin there would've been no world war 2"! We both know that Churchill, De Gaulle and Stalin all drank tea with Hitler and signed non-aggression pacts with him or gave him the right to annex countries, (ever heard about the Munich Agreement?) but none of them allied with him, and neither did they aid his army, nor did they start world war II!
