I remember my first barel, summer 92. is difficult to describe a sunset inside the crest. More difficult is to describe what I felt. Impossible for me is not to believe that a creator for all this exists.

@mstigerlilyrocks I'm no good on the boards, better at diving (tank & free-diving) and long-distance swimming or rather I was until Lupus SLE & Sjogren's came into my life. It was like I was born in the water, came from it somehow & I can't sleep worth a damn anywhere but on the water. I miss the life but my body can't take the damage anymore but I will always live close enough to get to her in a couple hours ride. Can't imagine anything else. Too many yrs w/her I guess :)

@PaisleyPlace Sure do, dude. I have been beaten down by the ocean more times than I care to admit. She is a dangerous mistress - can sure put you in your place when you least expect it. Still, I feel like I am in the womb of Mother Earth when I am in her embrace. There is a peace only the sea with the waves can bring me. Just wish I was a better board surfer :)

@mstigerlilyrocks But, do you understand the respect the ocean commands of anyone who enters upon its domain? That's a question as equally as important as understanding the spirituality of the ocean. The ocean can give so much, show you so much but it can also take it all away if you don't respect her and understand her.

@DonBoby he is dead, but schwarzenegger is still alive, he can act and speak his role and after this his figure get rejuvenated by means of cgi.

@myrddinistheshit you crazy.....Steve Buscemi?.... why not a digitally young and alive Dennis Hopper as mentor of easy waves rider..?. LoL
-
@2011TREADSTONE i would not say that, imagine a digitally young arnold schwarzenegger playing johnny utah aside of steve buscemi as the wise yet criminal mentor of the waves.

I heard there's gonna be a remake which I will go see just to see how they fuck it up! You just can't improve on perfection.

This is my alltime favorite film and would argue its greatness to the death.
