(cont'd) ....to interpret reality, but again, you operate from the presupposition that man is the ultimate arbiter or reality, which leads not to an objective interpretation, but a subjective interpretation based upon ubringing, values, and circumstances. The only way a mind can be free, as you said, is for the veil to be removed and for our minds to be renewed and for us to be made new by the gospel.

It's actually humans that are the ones who "suppress", as you put it. Humans are the ones who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. You're operating under the presupposition that man is the ultimate arbiter and interpreter of reality. You can talk about proof all you want, or lack thereof, but you still fail to support any evidence whatsover for your epistemology. You can talk about how naturalism, induction, empiricism, logical positivism, etc. are the best lenses (cont'd.)

  • @Frankdude1000 Please read my first comment as it is meant to be read and stop try to over complicate the matter. You know full well what I was saying but all you are doing is trying to get more thumbs up.

Get a life for goodness sake.

Happy new year btw, lets all hope its better than last year.

  • No, I understood before. If you look at your statement closer it says "be free from the shackles of man-made, nonsense like religion!" (paraphrase) You have allowed me to be free of all constraining, man-made ideas expect for the constraining, man-made idea that states the Bible is a constraining, nonsense, man-made idea. You see, your idea puts shackles and constraints also, and it is made by a man (you). So if your statement is true, then I should not listen to your statement.

  • @cyk1217 Thanks so much for your response, its appreciated.

And you say `our minds to be renewed and for us to be made new by the gospel`.You may take salvation from your gospel but you,and you alone are responsible for your actions. The need to renew should not apply to a well rounded individual because a clear mind allows one to think for oneself and for others.

The bible like all other religious books just clouds the mind and fills it with unnecessary bigoted ideas.

    Once again many thanks

  • @robbesons Well said. :)
