Boghall and Bathgate caledonia Pipe Band playing in the Grade 1 competition at The Scottish Pipe Band Championships held in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton on Saturday 22 May 2010.

The band's Pipe Major is Ross Walker and the tunes played are: The Big Road Brusher, Cabar Feidh, Lochaber to Argyll, An Air for Elliot, The Rakes of Kildare, Tam Bain's Lum, with a reprise of An Air for Elliot.

In a competition which must have been very close at the top end Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia were placed second.

  • Very possible 13soldierblue, I really hope so. It would be well deserved.

  • @sinbadvett this year

  • One of the most under rated bands out there. One of the best medley's I've heard in a long time. I perdict this band will win the worlds within the next two to four yrs.

  • AWESOME!!! Great harmonies!!!

  • The best they have ever sounded!!!! That was a first class performance that, if played that well at the Worlds, will upset the rankings!! Holy Shite!

  • @drumsdotcom Agree,,,,mate yea they have always maintained what makes them Boghall,,,,,this year it wont happen but there closing the gap and are hovering around the 6th 7th postion in world rankings,,,but shite there getting towards the striking distance,,,one outta the bag on the day may see them 5th 4th

  • Thats Epic!

  • Outstanding. The only band i didn't hear in the grade that day due to "beer pressure". Gutted that I missed it now. Prior to hearing this I thought FMM had it by a country mile. Now it's probably a few hundred yards. One of the most consistently musical Bands on the circuit in the modern age. Fantastic Guys. If the MSR is this good on the green you guys could be the dark horses this year. Forget the Power, go the boggies !!!

  • The Best sound of the day, should have won hands down!

  • paddy ,,,beat Scottish Power ,,,FMM...SLOT.. SFU...thats all.....lol,,,,,but yea there much better this year....
