Let you tell you about the 2004 flooding of Manoa Stream - it happens once every 30 years. One of the reasons for this constant flooding is the inadequate planning for growing stormwater runoff being diverted to a ditch that feeds into the main stream. If no one does anything to fix this, rest assured, you will see a re-occurance of this type of flooding in Manoa Stream due to an over-developed valley for a under-developed stream.

Impressive. And that is normally a trickling little stream, if that. I read that the flood in 2004 was nearly twice as big in the manoa river. I would love to see a video of that!

bwlfp, there was no flood caused by stream overflow in Manoa in 2006. This is footage is of the overflow in 2004.

@parcolubrite Not true, it happened twice, the flood in 2004 was more serious and flooded the campus. This one flooded the road but did not damage UH.
