This song was written and perfomed by a YouTuber by the name of Danna Richards. Danna has a ongoing project here on YouTube where she writes and uploads one song each day for a whole year. As the video clearly states, this is her 98th song so far.

She wrote the song after watching the video of Ellen Degeneres speaking out against bullying of Gay Teens, and this is what she wrote on her blog about it:

"This is a big subject and I could use a couple more days to brush up the lyrics (especially in the verse section). It doesn't yet have the impact I was going for. Overall though I was proud to write about this subject because it is very near and dear to my heart."

Thank you so much for writing this wonderful song, Danna. It really moved me when I first heard it, and I'm sure you will move many more people with your music in the future. Keep on spreading the message of love, equality and change.

  • @NinetiesYouth Does it really matter?

  • Where could I find the lyrics from this amazing song?

  • is Danna gay?

  • Wow!!! I am speechless... That was phenomenal and so true! I could tell that this is something close to your heart - a passion you share through music.

btw, I am transsexual. Came out to myself at age 45. Didn't transition until I was 50. Sometimes it takes people a little longer to "Come out. Come out."

  • @Nejidabest SAME HERE

    good luck :)

  • my friends gay, and there proud of it, just like they should be, if you know someone who is gay or if your gay yourself then dont worry about what people think or say because if they say against it then they are in the wrong not you, and they are jealous because you have the self courage to tell the world about it and they dont have as much courage as you do.

  • *hugs* thank you for this song, I'll keep this song in mind when I finally summon up the courage to come out to my parents. everyone knows but them.

  • Why can't this be on Itunes?!?!?!?1

  • This is absolutely amazing<3

  • Of course I meant: "nothing that a vox coach CANT fix"
