This is excerpted from a comedy LP album that came out in the late '60s. The guy does a phenomenal impersonation of the Bear.

I grew up in Tuscaloosa and remember listening to this as a 5th grader. Though it parodies the Bear, I think its in good fun and it intends no disrespect. (Well, maybe a little towards Auburn...)

Hope you enjoy it.

We love you, Bear; and Roll, Tide; Roll!

From:
The Bear, Observations of a Coach as told by Jay Higginbotham (1968?)

Script by Joe Hendrix and Jay Higginbotham

SIDE 1
A CALL FROM THE POPE
THE PRESS CONFERENCE
DURING THE GAME
IN THE DRESSING ROOM
AFTER THE GAME
SIDE 2
PROLOGUE
THE BEAR'S SUNDAY SHOW

Be forewarned that some of the jokes are anachronistic inasmuch as they refer to the 1967 or 1968 seasons. These will be best enjoyed by historians of Alabama football. Also, if some of the jokes seem politically incorrect, don't get your jockstrap in a wad-- remember that the PC had not been invented in 1968!
