Reena Virk was only fourteen when she was beaten and drowned by a group of her peers in a middle-class suburb of Victoria, B.C. For over a decade now, Reena's parents, Suman and Manjit Virk, have struggled through rage and grief, bureaucracy and trials, media and misinformation; yet their main focus remains on the life affirming values of service, compassion, truth and understanding. Their profound dedication to the prevention of similar tragedies, has led them into dialogue with communities, professionals and one of the youths responsible for Reenas death. Manjit and Suman's courageous journey brings us to reconsider much of what we believe about love, conflict, compassion and justice.

Includes two versions for different age groups:
What Can We Learn? (44 min.)
Suman and Manjit speak to high school and
university students about their daughters life,
the bullying and murder by her peers, their
familys grief and their reconciliation with
Warren Glowatski.
Recommended for ages 13 & up

All She Wanted Was Some Friends (20 min.)
Manjit and Suman speak to grade five students
about the bullying and murder of their daughter
and the importance of being a good friend and
speaking up when something is wrong.
Recommended for ages 10 -12

I believe the most upsetting part about this event is knowing that if that those poor parents have to LIVE with the fact knowing that there precious daughter lived her final hours all alone and in so much pain.
