Battlefield 3 Recon tips "How to stay hidden" + a 735m longshot

Just a few basic tips which is nice to keep in the back of your head when picking sniper spots and moving around the map as a defensive/passive recon player. But can allso be utilized by most classes.

Lens Glint update: The glint does not go away when you scope out, I recommend pointing your weapon in an angle so that it does not point directly at the places you are looking or pull out your sidearm(this is going to reduce your scope-in time but in some locations it might be necessary to avoid being seen.

snipers can never help their team, the recon class is useless in conquest mode where tactical based progressive movements are required.. just my opinion though. i love playing against recon. u guys are usually noobs who help your team lose. ;D

@301breed not everyone. i perform alot better up front with a rifle and my sidearm than as an assault. just the sheer amount of kills i get and the ability to take out long range targets as well, like snipers or support players in position is a benefit to any team. but i agree, many recon players arent contributing enough, but our equipment is pretty crap

My friend recently got this and was new to sniping with gravity so I sat next to him w/ my recon class and spotted for him by telling if he was shooting high or low.

@bloodyman125 To hold a grenade, press the throw grenade button and then immediately press and hold the fire button. At least, it's like that on the PC

@bloodyman125 I play on ps3 and I assume the game is equivalent on both the consoles. You can't hold grenades either but you can change ur camo by pressing triangle (or Y in ur case I think) on the customize screen to access those options while in game...

Ugh xbox version we cant hold grenades like that or go to that customize thing where you change your camo while in a game.
