Do you have to use a metal box? If you use a plastic one, what do you have to do with the ground?

its actually a 240v outlet not 220. 220 doesn't divide evenly by 60hz so there is no such thing as a 220v circuit. It's 240v.

isn't three prong out of code? Should be a 4 prong for dryer
