Sundae Sunday #125: State Fair of Texas

Every fall the State Fair of Texas opens its gates to unleash its fried food, chaotic midway, and livestock barns for any and everyone to see.

This year, I brought my dad along to experience it all. There's a car show, sculptures made of butter, and an incredibly scary looking dude that my dad strikes up a conversation with. Also, my dad eats "fried Frito pie."

at the fair where i live they fry a doughnut cheeseburger, basically its a cooked cheeseburger patty in between two glazed doughnuts all fried and it is oddly delicious!
