It may be possible that third party developers will create an app for this. It is necessary that your device be Bluetooth 4.0 compatible.

Depending on whether the gaming system is locked, there will likely be groups of developers who will create a compatibility API before the launch.

Wrongo, the Oculus Rift is Virtual Reality. Although I read somewhere that some ex-employees from Valve are working on shutter AR glasses...

I forgot where I read that though...

I'm also wondering. If we were to couple it with augmented reality goggles, would we be able to use a Minority Report-like UI?

(note: google glass can't do augmented reality - they're monocular, so they can't do 3D. I've seen a device that does somewhere, can't remember the name).

This is amazing, howevr a couple of things smell like bullshit... ThalmicLabs, care to explain?

    - the videogame. How the hell can the guy aim at his target?!? The controller is like a wiimote.... WITHOUT THE INFRARED CAMERA. How can it align with the TV?!?

    - The business presentation. Cool, he's circling a spot in the slide - but how did he select WHERE to center the circle? how did he decide the width?
