Toronto Police Service TAVIS (Toronto Anti-Violence Initiative Strategy) Sgt Jeff Pearson addresses the public about the 2009 community initiatives of the Toronto Police TAVIS program in the 12 Division area at a community meeting Monday Nov 9/09. In the audience was Allan Crawford, Recreationst, City of Toronto Parks Forestry and Recreation Dept, the proud co-founder of the TROOP program.
The Toronto Recreational Outreach Outtripping Program (TROOP) offers youth the opportunity to challenge their self-imposed boundaries through meaningful and sustainable problems including a five day excursion to the wilderness of Northern Ontario and a seven-day leadership trip at the end of the season.
