This is a behind the scenes 'Making of' video' for the little black hearts iphone app music video!

Using 10 iphones all running the 8mm Vintage camera app, the band were filmed on location in a warehouse in Leeds, UK. The footage was then edited on a final cut pro suite.....video to follow!!

Thanks to everyone who helped out on the shoot!

  • my iphone vid is better with no budget!!!

  • @meadvale i believe in the end i exported using the pro res 422 setting. It should mean you dont need to render once its imported. I also remember having some success with DVCPRO setting. If you still having issues message me and i'll see if i can help :-)

  • @rich6662 I really need to know what 'FCP friendly format exactly? - pro res 422?, DVCAM? can you remember

  • @meadvale It was an absolute ball ache! LOL seriously tho....pain in the bum! The interview footage is on my Sony HVRZ1 but the footage is all on the iphones.....mixing 3Gs and 4G..OUCH!

I had to import all the clips in to mpegstream then export using a FCP friendly format. That was just to get started......exporting was VERY complicated!!! However....dont let me put you off. Its a worth while endeavour :-)

  • @neurocosm Hey thanks man!! Just finished cutting the actual vid..think its looking pretty good....band havent seen it yet tho!! I'll inbox you the final link....let me know what you think!

  • how did you cut the iPhone 8mm stuff? - Final Cut Pro doesn't seem to like it

  • THIS IS INSANE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I co-wrote and directed a movie (documentary) called "14 Degree: A Paranormal Documentary." BUT this is awesome. Truly a work of passion. Good camera work, nice editing, SICK MUSIC. I am impressed. Highly impressed.
