Warning about posts on Facebook

This is just a general warning about how your posts can end up on an interest group page without your knowledge or permission!

But just know that talking in a negative way about other groups is not necessarily being bold for Christ, and iit can cause problems for those who comment as well. We dont have to agree with evil in any shape or form, but we are commanded to love our enemies and pray for them, right? Having an opinion and being bold for Christ are not necessarily the same thing, not that you shouldn't have an opinion. Be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

It seems that all posts on Facebook that mention Muslim Brotherhood goes DIRECTLY to their Interest Page.. This is also happening in regards to any post you make about Obama.. Goes directly to Obama's OFFICIAL interest page.... The question is whose collecting these posts and why!

I tested this, and confirmed through two friends that though FB tries to associate pages to you based on your possible interest by scanning your posts for keywords, it will still respect your privacy settings.

Did a similar test - I used the keywords 'Muslim Brotherhood' like the OP did - set my post to private only to me. I was able to see, on the Muslim Brotherhood page that I had posted something, but no one else was able to see any info on me whatsoever. Up vote to keep people informed.

From what I can tell, you can only see the posts of friends who commented and allow you to see it. You can't see everyone on facebook who has used that word in a post. Yes, you can see the people who may have commented on a post that was made by someone else if you are that person's friend.

I was checking this out and found that not everyone actually see your name there. I checked it out myself and found that there was only one post from one of my friends and right above it was the label "Related Posts by Friends", This is only seen by you.

You can see this on Yahoo News and a few other news sites affiliated with Facebook.

I thought you were going to say it ended up on an interest group outside of Facebook, but I've known about this for a long time. I don't really see how it could put your life in danger though because others can only see that you've been talking about that subject on the interest page IF they are friends with you, which means they have likely already seen that post in your news feed anyway.
