Telemetry data are mixed with video signal on the plane and transmitted to ground via video channel to telemetry decoder and tracking antenna.
RC link is typical 35MHz one (not LRS, diversity). With Corona receiver and 2m receiver antenna it works well for over 4km.

This is very cool. I'm also in the process of building my own RC gear. Next up on my list is to revise my RC transmitter and receiver, since my range is now just under a kilometer. My current version of the RC receiver doesn't really support diversity, and the current transmitter is difficult to connect to an antenna tracker.
You probably are transmitting telemetry data to do antenna tracking? Do you mix the OSD data to the video on the plane, or do you send it as data and add it on the ground?
