The Retail climate is tough. Retailers are reporting serious increases in crime. Police departments are reducing their resources. It is a critical year for Loss Prevention professionals to come together and share best practices and learn from the industry leaders.

Please join us this year for Rila's Loss Prevention conference May 3rd-6th in Orlando Florida. This is the ebst value in the market today. We have added a free W-Z training session for attendees.

Visit http://www.rila.org/latest/rlEducationEvents.aspx?section=EDUCPC and register today..

  • "Loss Prevention" people are generally a joke. Most stores have a "don't chase" policy, which pretty much makes LP powerless. For most major stores, if someone wants to steal, all they have to do is run, and don't be stupid by waiting for the police.

Other than that, nothing. I've seen people steal from stores and nothing. I've been accused of stealing (innocent), but held my own with my rights and nothing.

Zip, zero, nada. If you have LP personnel, give them some power or don't bother.
