Changing the seals are a pain. Especially when it's nice outside and your bike's in pieces. I dont have any pics now, but my bike is only a motor / frame / swingarm. Since it was going to take the forks about a week to be done, i took apart the rest of the bike to clean it up / maintenance for this summer season

  • Come on shoulda changed them your self. Veryyyy easy i'm 16 and i do it on my bike. It may seem hard but it realy isn't just don't rush through it. It'll save you a hella lot of money

  • @sameyav5 i guess you're right, im 16 too, but i can do almost everything in maintenance to my bike except sutff related to motor and suspension. besides, when i got them done by a mx shop near my place, it only 120$ for both forks...how much did it cost you to do it yourself? just wanna know in case i do it meself in the future, and did you have to put in fresh fork oil??

  • kawasaki are hellaknown for their fork seals lol what should i get 2008 ktm250 sxf or 2010 crf250r brandy new

  • @ch0l0sk8r definitely go for a CRF250r. Ktm's are a pack of problems when theyre used

  • yo what kind of tool set is that i need something like that all my sockets and shit right in one case.. like my tool box i sit there for like 5 mins finding a socket for like my clutch lever i got like over 500 sockets lol

  • @kx85kid12 its just a regular craftsman tool set. it's pretty old, my dad gave them to me when he got a new set. but i have to say organized stuff saves a shitload of time..

  • @ch0l0sk8r .... get a kawi.

  • Sealmate.net

Saved me hundreds. And no i'm not a salesman for them either.

  • NICE BIKE

  • i got a 09 to and i bought it new never road in oct and my seals just blew

  • @CRF150man06 fork seals are easy man, i was at like 60 bucks for seals, wipers, and oil. throw a set of the push button air bleeders on there for ease and helps save seals. It's a common thing, i've heard of it being an annual thing for a lot of riders. just look at what forks you have, and what special tools you might need, and start saving to do it yourself, pays for itself the first time anyway. Takes 2 hours your first time going slow and a couple sodas later, bam, new forks.

  • @CRF150man06 It was like 80$ something. Yeah i put in new oil everytime. 15wt because i'm 170lbs i like stiff suspension.

  • The reason why the fork seals are probably blown out because since it was owned by a beginner and they probably never released the fork pressure when they finished riding and tieing down the bike. they just continued riding it like that. Atleast thats why i think you had to replace the seals
