Twinwood Festival incorporating The Glenn Miller Festival Of Swing, Jazz & Jive
28th 29th 30th August 2010
www.twinwoodevents.com

Twinwood Festival is a fabulous retro music festival held at a nostalgic and historic site, and for those who havent been before now, it should be noted that Twinwood Festival is in fact one of the liveliest festivals around, with lots of swing music and rock 'n' roll as well. There are around 50 performances over several stages, huge dance floors, a whole host of well known bands, as well as dance lessons and displays, a large trade village, good food, well stocked bars, including a real ale bar, museums, hangar dances, a vintage beauty parlour, intimate café style venues within the site, air displays, and a lot more. It is fabulous!

Twinwood Festival, incorporating the Glenn Miller Festival of Swing, Jazz & Jive has been an annual event since 2001. Held at the famous Twinwood Airfield and Arena, where Glenn Miller took his last flight. The festival is always held over the extended August bank holiday weekend, and this is because Glenn Miller & his AEF band actually performed a concert at RAF Twinwood on August 27th 1944.
