  • Handwashing with soap is effective at killing organisms only if scrubbing is maintained for 20 seconds or longer. Alcohol works via drying action on organisms, so any application, whether for hand sanitation or wound sterilization must be allowed to thoroughly dry. (Credit to my one and only who has taken college level microbiology.)

Good info. Thanks. And I heard recently that hand sanitizer works best when used generously.

  • Great point, people blame water for a lot of problems, but are wrong. Studies were done of Appalachian Trail hikers and they found that hikers who never boiled water got sick less than those who do. Those who never boiled were ultalight hikers, they didnt share gear with others. Drinking from someone elses cup, someone who didnt clean up properly, is the main cause of bacteria, not running water.

  • So much in such a short video, instant favorite!

  • Great video. To the point and informative. Thanks!
