For me this is just a wonderful scene typical of what Hollywood could create in the 1930s. Alovely song by June Knight and Robert Taylor and a wonderful dance routine by Nick Long Jr and then Nick Long and June Knight. This would be even more lovely in colour and I hope it is colorized at some time. I do hope You Tube viewers enjoy it.

  • Thank you for the comments, I too wonder how young people will ever have the chance to appreciate an art form of the past if it cant be heard by new ears. Let us hope someone in authority reads your excellent message. Robin K.

  • Thank you for the information it is much appreciated. It is still a shame, as if people were able to see this scene with music they would be much more likely to want to buy the film in it's entirety.

    Thank you again.

    Robin

  • Yes it is a shame that Youtube have censored the sound to this film clip. It is such a great song as well as an ingenious piece of footage (for the time).

  • This seems so silly to censor the song when it's available to be heard on "I've got a feeling your fooling" elsewhere on You Tube. I am so tired of the big brother attitude lately.

  • Such a nice scene. Please re-upload with music!!

  • Other sequences from this film are on U-Tube with the sound. The biggest problem with the restrictions is that there are no rhyme or reason to them. There are examples of segments from entire films posted being removed and the other segments are still there!

  • @DouglasUrantia, actually, wasn't it Reagan-era deregulation that made corporations feel they were entitled to every half-cent? You really think Bush and Clinton weren't in cahoots with corporate lobbyists? Videos had music removed before he was in office. For the past twenty years at least, both parties have been completely lax on policies protecting and empowering young people through media literacy. You are right to say greed is at the heart, but you can't actually blame one president.

  • @MmeEsme ...this is Obama fascist corporatism gone mad. Warner Corp expects children to pay to listen to this classic song. Greed has overtaken every aspect of life and this is a perfect example.

  • Shame on you, WMG!!! I am an elementary teacher. How am I supposed to pass on cultural literacy to my students when you limit access? How is the shine of these stars supposed to live on for new generations? I am sure it was never the artists' intent that you should use copyright to make sure they are forgotten. Please lift these silly bans! Nobody is buying this stuff anyway and you know it!!!

  • This is my favorite rendition of the song, and I'm so upset that I can't hear it!
