New Zealand's only endemic Drosera, here seen growing in the alpine zone at Arthurs Pass beside a stream. Also present is Drosera arctaurii (the long narrow species) both plants are about to enter dormancy with the start of autumn. D. stenopetala favours the wetter more open sites. The mountain in the background is Mt Rolleston.
