The Seven Last Sayings of Jesus Christ

1.) Luke 23:34
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up His clothes by casting lots.

2.) Luke 23:43
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise."

3.) John 19:27
When Jesus saw His mother there, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

4.) Matthew 27:46
About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

5.) John 19:28
Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty."

6.) John 19:30
When He had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.


7.) Luke 23:46
Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When He had said this, He breathed his last.

The actor who plays Jesus in this movie... I read he is from the USA, but is he Jewish for real? I mean, he seems to at least control Aramaic?

When I watched this movie, I couldn't help but thinking of various parts of the Apostle's Creed... nearly brought me to tears.

EgyptNYC: Jesus came to earth for one reason: To die in our place. Jesus died voluntary, nobody forced him to. If this didn't happen, then we still carry the sin in our body and can't be saved if we don't sacrifice animals every year. God let this happen to Jesus, because He knew Jesus would arise and that the effect of his death and arising(?) would be eternal life for all humans who believe in him, and that was worth it. Jesus wanted to die to create a path to heaven for you.

The crucifixion of Jesus was intended for us,He took our place..coz we cannot repay for our sins,coz we are living a borrowed life,the life of Jesus is the only life that is not borrowed,,what really cause the suffering of Jesus was the Fathers wrath towards sin,Jesus being sinless suffered ,took our place and become the sacrificial lamb..when Jesus died,it pleased the Father..Jesus took the punishment intended for us..all we need to do is accept the gift of salvation..Jesus Christ..
