Ringmer Community College has 800 pupils aged 11-16. Pupils are actively involved in environmental activities. 200 have chosen to be Eco-Reps and monitor energy use; help with the manual control of the ageing heating system; and 'name and shame' departments which waste energy. They have been involved in the design of a new 6th form building, and give presentations about their work. The school generates some of its electricity from a 2.5 kW wind turbine and a 7.5 kW solar photovoltaic array.
Well done Rcc, if only all schools could do the same!
