i wonder why he has absolutely no distortion on the first one, cause the beano has alot of bite to it. but the key to love solo tears my solo to shreds every time

@vanu49 Hey Vanu49, true "Fresh Cream" was very exciting when it came out though I haven't heard it for a long time and of course I totally agree that Eric's done so much for the Blues and popular music over his extraordinary career, almost too many high-points to mention! The real star though was John Mayall who found so many great young players and gave them a start.. I just missed seeing this incarnation of Bluesbreakers sadly, but saw them often with Peter Greene.. t'was exciting times!! Px

eric clapton is sounding really shy !
maybe he was not allowed to turn up his amp to sound like on the beano-album.
very nice, rare document.
Hey, yeah I enjoyed hearing this too, thanks for the posting! I always reckoned the Beano album was the best work EC ever did and the solo on the album track 'Key to Love' has to be one of the most exciting pieces of guitar playing ever recorded.. animoceria's right, the BBC tape's pretty tame. I heard that at the album session EC put his amp in an empty wardrobe to get that screaming feedback sound, freaked out the engineers but Wow what a sound.. never been equalled! Love to y'all, Px

@pixiemark7 Hi there, youre welcome and I agree with you, however EC did some amazing things over the, whats it? 45 years...and the first studio album of The Cream, is still in my top 5.
Have a nice day.
